Last Sunday we sang, from our Psalm, “The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”
Gwen and I went white water rafting last Saturday, at the Alberton Gorge. We went through maybe five interesting rapids. As we would get closer to a rapid, the sound of the rushing water would get louder and I knew my heart rate was increasing. With our fearless skipper “Sam” at the helm, I was confident we would be okay, as long as I listened to, and acted on his instruction. And sure enough through each rapid we went through, we were ok. Not to say we didn’t get completely drenched, because we did, but we were ok and safe.
In the midst of things we go through that we are unsure of, we may rest assured that with “Jesus” at the helm we can be confident that we will be okay, as we listen, and respond to the love he gives us, remember that “The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love..”
